Henri Coandă International Airport, also known as Bucharest-Otopeni Airport is currently the largest airport in Romania.  

The modernization project, carried out as a joint venture by the Webuild Group, is a significant example of the Group's considerable experience in the airport sector 

The work was carried out in several distinct successive phases, starting in the 1990s. Overall, the project led to the facility's capacity expansion to 10 million passengers per year.  

In particular, Webuild Group was responsible for the construction of the new arrivals terminal, some taxiways and a multi-storey parking lot, the connecting building between the departure terminal and the arrivals terminal, the expansion of the departure terminal, the renovation of the technical area, (Phases 1, 2 and 2a), and again to follow the upgrading and modernization of the arrivals terminal and departure terminal for passengers, the reorganization of passenger flows, the modernization of the Presidential Building, and the construction of a level parking lot for cars (Phase 3).
