Lot 3 of the Orastie-Sibiu Highway is an integral part of the 4th Pan-European Corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-T, which aims to enhance interconnection and sustainable mobility within the European Union.  

The section extends for just over 22km, between km 43+855 and km 65+965, with two lanes in each direction, and includes the Aciliu Viaduct, the highest road viaduct in Romania as of its completion date.  

The project's main works included the construction of 3 highway bridges to cross waterways and 6 highway overpasses, a service area and all related signage and noise barriers.
